How To Even Out Dark Spots In Wood With A Pressure Washer

Why are there dark spots in the wood?

As wood ages and weathers over many years, it tends to develop dark or black spots on its surface. Some of these spots may never lighten up, but it’s always good to try to remove as many as possible!

How to use the pressure washer

When power washing, we always move the spray in the direction of the grains in the wood. On the darker spots, we simply power wash longer than for lighter spots in order to get them to even out. We never power wash too closely. This can damage the wood! Always keep the wood at least a few feet down the line of spray.
