Choosing Wall Colors and Accent Wall Colors

Ever wondered how the pros know exactly what color scheme looks the best and where? We’re going to give you the inside scoop on choosing those perfect wall colors and accent wall colors.

Take a color from something that will be in the room, such as a picture on the wall, a piece of furniture or even a pillow.

Color decks are sold at most paint retailers and can be very helpful. Pick out two to four colors from the color deck.

Buy quarts (smaller amounts of paint) and do a few test patches on the walls. This will help to get a bigger visual of how the colors look when on the wall.

If you can not decide on it right away, give it a couple of days and go look at the colors again, sometimes that helps. If you still can’t make up your mind, remember paint is not permanent (just look at what you’re about to paint over!)
