Denver Home Painting Facts

Common Questions and Facts About Peak Pro Painting Projects

The following are typical questions we receive from customers interested in our painting services. As the most trusted Denver house painting company, we want to be as transparent as possible with our customers.

If your home, business, or HOA is located in Denver, Highlands Ranch, or Lonetree, Colorado, read on to learn more about the advantages of choosing Peak Pro Painting as your contractor!

Q: Are your painters licensed, bonded and insured?
A: Yes! All of our painters are covered by Full Workman’s Compensation and $2,000,000 in liability insurance.

Q: What if I want to paint certain areas of the home myself to save money?
A: That’s great! Unlike most other contractors, we are flexible and will allow you to paint areas of the home yourself.  We also receive paint at a discount and will purchase all of the necessary paint to complete the project, leaving enough for you to paint the areas specified.

We normally ask for a minimum job size of $1500 in order for our painters to make money on the project.

Q: Why not paint the house myself?
A: We use top-of-the-line paint and we get amazing cost savings due to the high volume we purchase. Most home owners will end up spending 500-600 dollars on a standard 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. We also use the proper equipment – brushes, rollers, drop sheets, sprayer rental, ladders and safety equipment – which typically cost homeowners an additional 700 dollars to buy or rent.

Finally, our typical 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house takes around 50-60 hours to complete. This would mean it would cost you 1200-1300 dollars to paint your home and 3-4 full weekends of work. Many people feel their free time is worth more than the time it would take to do the job right. In addition, with our Lynx or Mountain Lion Warranty, you’re covered for 3-6 years.

Q: How do your prices compare to other contractors?
A: If you were to get eight bids, with 10 being the highest priced, we would fall somewhere between 3 and 5 depending on the area. We are able to compete due to amazing costs on paint due to bulk purchasing, low overhead, low labor costs and cheap insurance rates due to hiring professional painters who carry their own insurance.

Q: Does your team replace wood?
A: Yes we do! We can replace any types of boards on your home before painting. From time to time, homeowners wait too long to paint and certain boards take a beating from the Colorado sun and snow. This can cause dry rot to eat away at the boards – we can’t paint over boards that have dry rot. We will take those boards out and replace them with new boards. Once replaced we will prime each board to ensure durability, then finish each with a solid coat of paint.
